Dharma Yoga

Monday
17.30 - 18.45
Rooted in the classical teachings of Sri Dharma Mittra, this heart-centered, graceful yet challenging practice weaves together asana (postures), pranayama (breathwork), meditation, and deep relaxation. This is for you curious about exploring yoga beyond the physical body and wanting to learn how to integrate more breath, energy, and spirit into your practice. Expect creative and intelligently sequenced flows during the first half, and more long-held stationary poses during the second-half, including balancing postures, inversions, backbends and arm balances, as well as a progression of movements that stimulate and support each of our chakras (major energy centres). The class is wrapped up in a beautiful container, beginning with the mesmerising drone of Krissa´s shruti box, some opening chants and intention-setting, as well as a nidra-esque savasana and short guided meditation at the end. You can think of this class as a moving meditation — an opportunity to cultivate compassion, inner peace, and self-inquiry. Open to all curious and devoted practitioners wanting to go deep.
